The Cornell Gunter Coasters will be performing much of the comedy material originally created by the late Cornell Gunter for the orininal Coasters.
Gunter who was the comic genius of the group created numerous skits and routinesthat made the original Coasters the "Clown Princess of Rock and Roll."
Sahara Hotel & Casino and Recaredo Gutierrez & ReGu Productions Presents "Tropical Passions" in the Sahara Theater beginning April 21, 2005.
The large-scale variety show features latin music and dance from the "Roaring '50s" and includes the full 22 piece Tropicana All-Stars Orchestra. The cast of 30 dancers and the other entertainers perform a spectacular display from blues to mambo and rumba to rcok, with the other classic rhythms from the golden age of Cuban music including tributes to famed bandleader Benny More and other great artists like Nat King Cole, Peggy Lee and Elvis Presley.
